Denniston Place creates a living experience that allows for immediate access to the active downtown Lewes center while offering a calm reflective respite from the noise and clatter of the commercial core. For active lifestyle owners our location is also ideal for beaches and biking access. Our homes are built of the highest quality materials and are envisioned to be durable first or second homes.  A sense of undisturbed tranquility on an intimate residential streetscape is our goal.

Eight homes are placed facing each other around a 60 foot wide, shared and protected open garden. This concept evolved from the European tradition of a calming space behind busy street side facades. Emphasis is on creating small intimate spaces interacting with the garden. This garden has a fountain enjoyed from small private balconies as well as shared benches. French doors open onto these balconies to reveal the multicolored flagstone walkways throughout the garden which are spectacular. On the Savannah Road (south east) side of the homes there are great views of the sunrises over marshland and the bay, while on the west side there are sunset views over our maritime canal.

The exterior facades have front door entrances, garages, breakfast decks, a bay window for a kitchen garden, and roof deck access stairs.

The homes are three stories plus a roof deck. They each have three and a half baths, and hydraulic elevators. Overall individual dimensions of approximately 20 X 45 feet allow for 2250 square feet of useable space, not including the internally connected garage or deck spaces. Balconied on each floor, all homes have lovely views of our formal garden.

The first floor has a single car garage, a utility room with foyer to the garden, a bathroom with shower for beach visitors, and a work or storage area.

The second floor with 9-foot ceilings has an open floorplan consisting of the kitchen, dining area, main living area, a powder room and the garden balcony. Some have fireplaces. The second floors vary with different types of cabinets and counter tops.

The third floor is the bedroom level with 8 ½ foot ceilings. Most homes have a two master bedroom configuration each with full bathrooms.  An exterior landing leads to roof top decks and provides an insulating space from neighbors. On the garden side there is another three-foot balcony with French doors overlooking the garden.

The roof decks afford a place to relax in the evening summer breezes and take in views of the Delaware Bay.
